I know a lot of y’all feel a certain kinda way about Love and Hip Hop star, Yandy Smith. I took the temperature in the room so I know a lot of y’all ain’t feeling Ms. Smith.
I kinda like the chick. I think she’s got balls the size of grapefruits. You need those to be a personal manager in Hip Hop. If you don’t know that, you better ask somebody. Nevertheless, I understand the hate Yandy’s getting. She’s looking kinda shady these days. In fact…
Last night Yandy Smith pulled a rabbit out of the hat with a few choice revelations statements directed at co-star Chrissy Lampkin. Was anybody listening?
Peep Game: Females like Yandy can be your best friend or your worst enemy. There’s usually no in between with this kinda chick. She either loves you or hates you.
Problem is, you can’t tell which side you’re on with her. She’s like a CIA operative-covert actions, hidden agendas.
She means well, but she’s more likely to blast you unexpectedly in the middle of a party, than she is to pull you to the side and hash things out. Since she’s secretive about her true feelings and intentions, you’ll be “in the dark” until she sees fit (or there’s a big enough audience), to clue you in.
This M.O. is great for business but not so great for maintaining friendships.
This is exactly what we saw on last night’s episode of Love And Hip Hop. Check the clips if you missed it:
Did you catch that?
Did you hear Yandy (in response to Chrissy’s threat to call boyfriend Jim Jones) say,
“…calling Jim for what? That’s like calling my brother. What are you doing? We’re all a family. You’re the outsider if anybody. Nobody really likes you. Sorry. Secret exposed. They don’t like you.”
Did you notice that Jim Jones didn’t race to the scene to confront Yandy like he did Somaya’s manager Maurice last season? I’ll bet Jim breathed a sigh of relief when Chrissy told him he didn’t need to come. Dodged that bullet huh Jim?
The fact is, Yandy Smith is or should I say was, one of Jim Jones’ closest friends. She also managed his career. Yandy feels so close to Jim that she refers to him as her brother. She goes on to reveal that she and Jim are like family and that girlfriend Chrissy is The Outsider. Yandy then says, “Nobody likes you…Secret exposed.”
Whoa! Wait a minute. Who is nobody? I’ll bet “nobody” includes Jim’s mother Nancy. I’ll bet “nobody” also includes some of Jim’s other family members, associates and friends. Maybe that’s why Jim is dragging his feet to the alter?
{You can learn a lot from a man’s friends. This post explains why.}
Bottom Line: Yandy’s sneaky a$$ just exposed Jim Jones. Believe me when I tell you that Jim Jones has been running his mouth-to Yandy. Unfortunately, he’s told Yandy too much about Chrissy and his relationship with Chrissy.
That’s why Yandy felt comfortable giving Chrissy a book on how to be a good daughter-in-law; that’s why Yandy danced to the song Jim’s mother Nancy made about Chrissy; that’s why Yandy commented (in an email) on what Jim buys Chrissy. T-M-I (Too Much Information)
If you’re placing blame, add Jim Jones to the list. Don’t just shoot the messenger.
When Chrissy says Yandy should separate business from personal, I’m thinking she needs to direct that to her man Jim. What has he told Yandy that has her so comfortable talking about the details of his relationship with Chrissy?
Remember this little tidbit?
(Yandy)
“…let me see the ring. Why you didn’t want to show me the ring…because it’s fake. It’s an installment plan b*tch! I thought you was already engaged. No. You’re installed for another 2 years. That’s what happened…”
It’s kinda sounding like Yandy and Jim are more than friends or that Yandy wants to be more than friends with Jim.
However, it’s quite possible that Yandy is just the kind of female who likes blowing-up spots. It’s like, I don’t like her for you. I’m going to make it my business to throw a monkey wrench in your relationship.
For the record, I don’t think Yandy and Jim are sexual. I think Jim may be getting it in with someone else and Yandy knows all about it. Yandy let the cat out of the bag because she knows she can get away with it. Who gon’ check her boo?
I think Jim is the one to watch here. As I’d suggest in real life situations, look beyond the clucking chicken ’cause that’s just a distraction for what’s really going on. Stop. Look. Listen. There’s something happening. It’s your job to find out what that is!
That being said, let’s stay tuned to see how this situation plays out!
