Nicki Minaj released the video for the song “Stupid Hoe” and the crowd says, “Boo!”


Commenters on some of the most popular blogs and websites including Necole Bitchie, Huffington Post, Hip Hop Wired, and others are posting their disapproval and disappointment for the latest video offering by Hip Hop Star/Young Money Princess, Nicki Minaj.

Nicki has enjoyed a good 2 year run as the Golden Girl of Hip Hop.  Part of her success seems to come from her association with label mate and star rapper Lil Wayne.  The other part can be attributed to Nicki’s successful campaign to destroy Lil Kim.  Many people fell in love with Nicki for her slice and dice disses towards Lil Kim.  The rap beef became a rap war as fans chose sides-TeamNickiMinaj or TeamLilKim.


However, Nicki Minaj may have gone too far with this last 1-2 punch shot at rap rival Lil Kim.  In the video for “Stupid Hoe” Nicki dances and raps playfully while slamming Lil Kim with lines like,

B*tch talkin she the queen, when she looking like a lab rat
I’m Angelina, you Jennifer
C’mon b*tch, you see where Brad at
We ship platinum, them b*tches are shipping wood
Them nappy headed hoes but my kitchen good
I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish

Peep Game: Nicki Minaj built her career dissing Lil Kim!  Like the pink wigs, eye blinking and cartoon-ish rap delivery, dissing Lil Kim is a part of Nicki’s shtick.  Her fans fell in love with a Lil Kim-dissing Nicki Minaj.  But after numerous songs/verses devoted to Kim, has Nicki simply “run out?” 

Bottom Line: The votes are in and the crowd says, “Boo!”  Let me tell you why I think Nicki Minaj Played herself this go-round.
